How Age Affects Driving

How does arthritis affect driving?
Arthritis makes your joints swell and become stiff, which limits movement. This makes it hard for you to turn the steering wheel and check for blind spots. Although these things can make it harder to drive, most people can drive safely with arthritis. It depends on which joints are affected. It also depends on how well your condition is managed. If you are treated with medication, make sure it doesn't make you sleepy.
