How Age Affects Driving

Aging affects all skills, including the ones you need to drive safely. For example, if you have vision problems, you may not be able to see people, road signs or other cars like you should. Also, your reflexes may be slower, which would give you problems accelerating and braking in time.

However, there are many things you can do to make your driving safer and allow you to keep driving longer. These changes include limiting the number of hours you drive, driving only during daylight and having your vision and hearing tested regularly.
