When you buy life insurance, you will be asked to take a medical exam and to answer questions about your health and your family's medical history.

Unfortunately, if you are not in good health or you have a history of medical problems, it may be difficult to find a company that will sell you life insurance or you may be charged higher rates.

Buying Insurance if You Have a Medical Problem
There are companies and agents that specialize in finding life insurance for people who suffer from chronic diseases or other high risk conditions (including strokes, heavy smoking or a bad driving record). You will likely pay more, but at least you will be able to get coverage.
