Vicki started out as a librarian, but she decided it wasn't
for her. She went back to school to get her paralegal certificate
through an associate's program. Vicki's been
working in real estate law for a few years.
She's worked with seven different attorneys. Because
she works in real estate law, knowledge of tax work is absolutely
necessary. "It was hard," Vicki says, "But
I really had to learn by doing." Sometimes, she works
with attorneys in court.
Vicki's job includes settling estates for clients
who've died. She works with lawyers to complete estate
tax returns and other paperwork. "There's lots
of variety," Vicki says. "I like the challenge
of working with new people and handling new problems all
the time."
