What is my "Notebook" and how
do I save information to it?
The Career Coach notebook is an easy way for you to store
everything that you work on, so you can reuse it later or
make changes. For instance, when you decide on a few interesting
careers, you will be asked to save those careers to your
notebook. You can then go back and edit that list whenever
you want to.
Look for links to items in your notebook on the right side
of any page where you see the paper clip.
Once you have items in your notebook, the Career Coach
home page becomes your personal notebook page. All of the
information you have stored so far, will show up there.
And when you leave the Career Coach, the site remembers
where you left off, so that you can pick right up again
when you return. All you have to do is click on the link
that says, “Pick Up Where You Left Off.”
Among other things, the notebook will store your:
- name
- target career
- job skills
- contacts
- resume
- target schools
- educational goals
Only you can see what’s in your notebook. In order
to use the notebook, you must register (or sign in) to the
site. When you sign in to the site with your secret password,
then you can see your personal information. If you are using
your own computer and don’t want to have to sign in
each time, be sure to check off the box that says “Remember
me when I return to the site” when you are signing
in for the first time. Don’t check this box if your
are using someone else’s computer or are in a public
place.
